And for the second time in two weeks (yes, last Sunday too), I experience great rage on the day that's supposed to be a day of rest (and by "rest", I mean shouting at the TV. Don't lie; whether it be football or you're playing Melee and Marth just knocked you the frick off before you could finish him, that blue haired bastard, someone is yelling at the TV). I get up at 7:00 in the morning expecting to go to church and end up getting ditched. Reason being that my friend (who is my ride every week because I don't know where our church is and I don't think I'd be able to stand going alone anyway) had some family who stayed over at her house and apparently she stayed up too late or something. I don't know, but she didn't wake up on time and so I had taken a shower and spent 20 minutes putting on makeup for no reason. I do look pretty, though.
So, I did what every person - well, every person worth talking to in
my eyes - does, and blew off some steam playing some Super Smash Bros.: Melee. Not Brawl like the cool kids, though, because I am poor and can't afford a frickin' Wii. Which is going to piss me off even more when the time comes for the new Zelda game to come out (
not the DS game that's scheduled to come out that's a sequel to Phantom Hourglass which I heard sucked anyway - I haven't played it, but...) because then it will be Wind Waker all over again and I will have to wait three years before being able to play it. Oh,
Nintendo. How you make my wallet cry (Well, technically, it's my dad's wallet but I didn't want to give off the whole "daddy's little girl" vibe because I
eat Daddy's Girls for breakfast).

(Awesomeness on a Disk)
And I know, instead of raving about how much I love this game, I should be playing it right now, but I couldn't focus on the fight because I was thinking of writing this post, which caused me to have my ass kicked by Marth.
Marth. I know, people would argue that Marth is actually a pretty good character and that he is a quote-unquote "beast", but apparently, the Marth in my game didn't get the memo. This is the guy that dies first every time I play on Stock (because I can't stand him not being there - it's weird) and also the guy that gets the highest percentages the fastest.
Yeah...I'm not feeling your beastlyness, Marth, sorry, try again. Anyway, I couldn't focus so I just decided to turn it off after about 45 minutes instead of my usual hour-two hours and come write this post so that it gets off of my mind.
And now that I'm talking about Melee, I haven't been able to stop listening to the Fire Emblem music that appears in the game (select Hyrule Temple as your stage and then press and hold down L and R
right after you select it until the fight starts to ensure that you hear it). Thank you, Kim, for sending it to me so that I won't drive myself mad trying to find it on youtube. It's a really cool song, though, so I'm not complaining (that much). It sounds like Mexican music, almost.
Is it weird to play against the same computers every time you go into VS. mode? Because I do...I play as Link most of the time, and I play against Roy, Marth, and another Link, in that order. And I'm happy with it. I just don't find much interest in any of the other characters besides Young Link occasionally and maybe Dr. Mario or Zelda. I just kind of thought it was a little strange.
It's safe to say that this game is taking over my life pretty quickly...but I don't mind that much to be honest. And I can safely say right now that I would pass up the opportunity to go to a party for a night of playing Melee while talking to my friend Kim on the phone. Yes, it's
that good, like A1 steak sauce.
~Peace!~
